Open4Sale recently launched a person-to-person ecommerce solution that connects consumers and retailers using video conferencing technology to enable real-time interaction. Retailers can use the solution to create a more personal relationship with their consumers and improve customer service, creating a more interactive online shopping experience.
The goal of the ecommerce solution is to help retailers boost online sales, increase customer satisfaction and create long-term relationships with return customers.
"The market is clearly ready for change and eager to adopt new technology," said Simon La Barrie, founder and CEO of Open4Sale.
Barry Gilbert, former CEO of Smith and Hawken, praised the person-to-person offering, saying retailers must adopt new technology in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
Just as Open4Sale is working to bridge the gap between the online and in-store shopping experience, it is bridging the gap between consumer bases on two different continents. Geek Wire reported the former president of the Seattle-based angel investors group Keiretsu Forum, Todd Dean, was recently named the president of Open4Sale, and he will work to increase the brand's reach in Australia and the United States.
